Boy Scouts of America
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. As of February 2019, Scouting is open to both boys and girls, and the Scouts BSA program builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participatory citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
Scouts BSA is a year-round program for boys and girls in the fifth grade through high school (11 to 17 years old) that provides fun, adventure, learning, challenge, and responsibility to help scouts become the best version of themselves.
Troop 5 belongs to the Far East Council (which includes Japan, Okinawa, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand).
